It is a multiplayer script; you need to add it to your netscen.lst file (I put it right after n118), and then it will show up in your multiplayer mission list.

The 3 files should be in the KA/SCRIPTS/EXPL folder.

I have found a netscen.lst in a zip file I had roaming around on my hdd. I must be dumb, but I have NO idea what I need to add to that file. I tried EXPL, but this doesn't work. I've put the 3 files in the directory and the netscen.lst in the scripts directory.... still didn't work.
plz help

Hey Vuikie!

This is the content of my netscen.lst:

n101 n105 n106 n107 n108 n109 n110 n111 n112 n113 n114 n115 n116 n117 n118 expl

Just copy and paste that line into your file (or alternatively create a txt file and rename it(including extension of course)) and put it in the the KA folder (not inside scripts)

You now should be able to select Galactic Exploration (the last star system/map on the bottom)

NETSCEN.LST goes in the KA directory, not the scripts directory.

Hmm, no, that shouldn't cause a problem. "empty.raw" is used all the time without problem when there's no voice file to be called.

Dumb luck, I guess. :/

i realized i even got a blue screen in my windows xp vm seldomly... because of that I can not trust it anylonger. I switched to a Win7VM (different set of drivers from the VM company) yesterday and will continue testing from there...

I'll go on a limb here(please don't cut it off) But can't we also make a way so that we can hail NPC ships/bases so we can get missions or something like that...(perhaps with a question mark on top of the ship/base)

I created a game with only me and a AI Player inside. I warped to Qo'Nos flew directly through a gas giant (the first time ever). Even got out of it semi-alive and warped back to the Finch System to check if the AI Player was still there. On the Warp Screen I played around with the warp speeds (warp speed 0 really should really let you exit the warp transit) and when I entered the system I hit the A, S, and D keys to scan for the enemy. Precisely in this moment ka.exe crashed.

I wrote a little batch file to help me remember better what happened. It writes the date and time of the start and end of the KA session into the log and also prompts you for a comment. I call it KAdebug.cmd. If anybody wants to use it, just copy the content of the batch file into a txt file and rename it afterwards:
