Sounds like fun. From the principle, there should be no problem to create such a script, but there are some KA bugs (e.g. some limitations in the number of solare systems that can be addressed by a single script) which might cause trouble.

well the Board as it would be .. is just one system .. i think the hardest part would be the fact of ordering the ships "peices" to move in the proper manner.. i'm trying to find an old chess game that is written in c++ to see if i can "borrow" anything from it.

It is no problem to make ships move in a given direction or to given coordinates. This is easy and works well.
