Tears Of Creation Chapter 17

Chapter 17

Onboard the U.S.S. Enterprise: The main bridge.

Picard entered the bridge with a small entourage consisting of Sheridan, Hunt, Gideon, Galen and Delenn and walked to Science Station 2 where Data and Harper were working.
“Report Mr. Data.”
“Mr. Harper and I are completed the modifications sir. I have also calculated the proper frequency for our dimension…” Data paused for a second, with a look of uncertainty.
“There is no guarantee we will be able to reach Starfleet Captain.”

“It’s our only chance to warn of the impending invasion. The longer we wait the more time slips by, greatly decreasing our chance for survival.” said Galen.

“It is time to muster our strength and declare to the darkness our intentions to survive the night…” Delenn spoke intently. “Send the Signal, let all who hear prepare for the battle ahead…”

“Indeed Mr. Data…send the signal.” Picard ordered.

The transmission crossed the barrier quickly and was caught up in the maelstrom which was time, space and the fabric of the combined universes. It seeped out through a multitude of cracks and carried across the multi-verse. It was on its way.

“The signal has been sent sir.” reported Data

They had little time however to dwell on the event. “Captain the vortex generator has activated. A number of ships are entering this sector.” alerted the ensign

“Can you display the ships?” asked Sheridan

The screen flashed to the incoming vessels which were too far to make out at first. But when they magnified the image the details jumped out at him. Member ships of the ISA. Brakiri, Drazi, Gaim and many others, fifty ships in all.

“President Sheridan Babylon 5 is routing a signal to us. It is from the approaching vessels.” Reported Data

“With your permission Captain Picard?” Sheridan asked

“By all means Mr. President.”
The screen faded from the incoming ships and molded into a reptilian visage. It reminded Picard of the powerful Gorn...just a little slimmer.

“President Sheridan…we have come to offer any assistance we can.” Grinned the green being

The President seemed to be shocked into paralyses. He just stared in disbelief at the screen.
“John…?” Nudged Delenn “Maybe you should thank them…”
“Uhh…yes…Yes! Indeed thank you commander. You are a most welcome sight to say the least.” He said enthusiastically “Take up defensive positions around the station for now. We will need you soon.”
The Drazi nodded and faded from the screen as Sheridan looked at everyone in incredulity. “We didn’t have to threaten, coerce or beg them...I don’t believe it! And how did they get here so fast?”
“The Anlashok my love…They were sent out at the first indication of this event. Even now they gather more forces. We will not be unprepared this time.” Answered Delenn “Soon the Alliance will gather here and stand against the nightmare together.”

“You are amazing…” He said lovingly and took both of her hands into his

“This is an excellent turn of events for once…” sighed Riker. It seemed things were going their way at last.

Galen’s sudden cry of despair told him otherwise.

The Technomage slumped into a chair and cradled his head, he looked as if he witnessed the death of his child.

“Galen…What is it?” asked Gideon
“Something…something horrid has entered our realm….dreadfully powerful….I can feel its malice! Black and twisted as the ones we rally against now…just as ancient…” He looked through them all, witnessing a hidden revelation that flayed his mind.
However whatever he was observing quickly faded and he calmed himself.
“Captain Hunt…I believe an acquaintance of yours has arrived.”
Galen waved his hand over the science station which began to display the tear at sector 14. It flickered and began to grow. The Whitestars gathered there slowly moved at first but as he tear expanded faster they soon were forced to turn use full burn to escape it.

The tear ripped wide, beyond the view of Galen’s probe, more and more until something finally began to come through it. It was a small planet…yet that was not it.
It was attached to a massive superstructure that was interlinked with a larger sphere. It came pouring through until the probe was obscured by the shear size of the object.
Galens probe still monitored the area as the Whitestars signaled the juggernaut. The response was a hail of death.
Singular point bullets shot out from everywhere. Three of the Whitestars were bludgeoned by them, shredding into bursts of scattered matter. The others began evasive maneuvers and counter-attacked. They were simply shrugged off. The beams simply were too small for the target which was made up of multiple worlds. Swarms of ships erupted from the new invader and assaulted the surviving Whitestars.

Dylan watched in horror as the Magog Worldship unleash against the heavily outnumbered defenders. “We are in big…big trouble.” He groaned

“Ya think…” Observed a ghostly white Harper

Aboard the Star Destroyer Liberty:
Approaching Earth from hyperspace

“You are certain these are the correct coordinates?” Asked Leia nervously
“As certain as I can be for my universe…” G’kar replied
“Helmsman take us out of hyperspace 3 seconds earlier then the coordinates.” Ordered Luke
“Do you feel something?” Asked Han
“No…I just think it will be safer that way.” Luke replied
The Liberty slid from the extreme speeds into a casual approach towards a small blue world. They came out of hyperspace just beyond the lunar orbit. They slowly crept towards the planet at low sub-light speeds in order not to alarm the inhabitants.
“There are a great many vessels in the vicinity of this planet and in the solar-system.” Reported a sensor officer. “At least twelve-hundred in all, 30% spread throughout the system. Their power levels are comparable to our own, yet the largest vessel isn’t even half our size. A contingent of twenty vessels is on an intercept course with us. They will be in firing range in 35 seconds.”

“Are you sure about this G’kar?” Han asked nervously

“No…but it is interesting to see the humans in such a different light…”
“Senator…we are being hailed.”

“Send it through.”

A hard voice carried across the bridge “This is Fleet Admiral Shanti, Identify yourself or you will be fired upon.”

“This is the Republic Star Destroyer Liberty.” Answered Leia “We require assistance. We have been displaced from our universe into yours. Can you aid us?”

There was no immediate response.

“I have a bad feeling about this…” Han whispered to Luke
“You always say that…” The Jedi remarked
The voice finally responded after a few tense moments, “Liberty please hold position, you will be escorted to a holding area until we can evaluate the situation more effectively.”
Coordinates beamed into the comm-sys from the Federation ship. It was Six-hundred-thousand kilometers from the planet orbiting with engines cold. These people were taking no chances.
Leia ordered the Liberty to comply. What choice did they have? They were lost and alone. If these people were violent they would have already blown them out of the stars.
They moved slowly to the position, observed by chase ships until they were where they were supposed to be.

A full hour had passed until they next communiqué came through. G’kar, Han and Leia were nervous wrecks by that time. They had no idea if they made the right choice. Humans were unpredictable after all.
“A single starship shall approach you until it reaches forty-thousand Kilometers. From there four representatives will beam to your vessel.”
Beam? What is that? Leia wondered
It wasn’t long until a single ship came within forty-thousand Kilometers. Four humanoid beings formed in the main bridge just a few feet from them.
When the figures formed an older man stepped forward holding his hand is up in non-threatening positions. “I am Admiral Paris. I have been authorized by the Federation of planets to welcome you to Earth.”

“I have been here before, but thank you all the same anyways.” Answered G’kar

Hatred ever kills, love never dies such is the vast difference between the two. What is obtained by love is retained for all time. What is obtained by hatred proves a burden in reality for it increases hatred.
